Receiving txts twice no matter what app I use.

I rooted my d2 I loaded the starwars rom n it was fine I added a them and after I rebooted from that I started receiving all my texts twice no matter what app I use I get them twice, I turned off notifications on other txt apps n I still get txts twice on the same app. I tried doing a hard reset and uninstalling the apps and installing back n no change. Does any one know how to fix this

I also noticed I have 2 calender apps 2 email apps 3 stock txt apps and 2 gallery apps one is the d1 gallery and the other is the stock d2 gallery

You could delete the unwanted apps.

I did try but they dnt show the uninstall option or the erase data option

I have a Droid so my experience may be different.

Tap menu, tap settings, tap applications, tap all, tap the application, tap uninstall

Yes the d1 is nothing like the d2 the d2 is more like the dx

Hey you might have tried this but pull the battery then reload and dial *228 option 2... I work at an indirect retailer, a wireless zone and it fixes 90% of the craziest things

Get root explorer or a similar tool and go to /system/app ...I had to do this to get rid of extra apps. Decide whether or not you want the themes version or the rom version and find the files.....

Ok I tried *228 opt. 2 n I'm still getting double txts. I have astro n I went to system/app and tried uninstall but it says uninstall unsuccesful

Have to mount the system as read/write or you can't do anything. Astro is no good.

If you had made a backup, would be easier. You will still have the programs if you just flash over again....wipe data and cache then install...mount system and data, reboot.

Sbf to 2.3.20 and use squid's rom. He has two versions and also I believe some sw stuff.
