recovery w/ broken buttons.

new problem....im stuck on a boot animation screen but cant boot up because my stock launcher is frozen...
how can i resolve this?

Frozen?, like with Titanium backup? Or just stuck?

i froze it with titanium...but everything is good now.

i got in to recovery mode... and did my first phone flash at 4am this morning. worked like a charm with Rsd lite. I flashed to 2.0.1 and my phone updated itself to 2.2.2 in like 15 minutes. i re-rooted it and its back to normal.

just having wifi issues now

It may be related to the kernel. A different kernel may fix that.

do you think i can just DL some kernels instead of flashing a whole new custom ROM?...am i thinking on the right track? (im getting into this ...all paychecks are gunna start going to new tech)

Absolutely. You can flash just a kernel. No need to wipe either.

But yes, just follow CJM's advise here. Throw a few on your sdcard and go to town.

Btw, quick boot in market will give you easy reboot to recovery and bootloader if your ROM doesn't have it.

To get into recovery try widgetsoid2x. You can put a reboot widget on the homescreen that asks when tapped, if you want a normal, hot etc etc reboot. My power button still works but I prob use the widget to reboot more.

The app quick reboot has the option to reboot into recovery as well
