My contract ends in a month and I am eligable for an upgrade and can get the Thunderbolt for $100. I have the Droid X right now. I was wondering, do you regret getting the Thunderbolt? Please explain your answer.

thunderbolt is the best android phone that verizon has...
4G
Solid feel
Sense ui
Getting gingerbread soon
Front camera
Awesome devs ( if your into that)

The thunderbolt is a great phone but there are a lot of people that are unhappy with the battery life. I live in a 4g network area and I can say that I get about 12-14 hours per charge with very light data use and syncing turned off to conserve power. With more use, especially data on 4g your battery life will suffer greatly when stock. I would recommend getting the 2750mAh extended battery if you want to get decent battery life with this phone. There are some nice things as well; first the tbolt has an unlocked bootloader, also a lot of devs have been making roms for the tbolt as well. I personally prefer the Sense UI over Blur. Those are my thoughts after a months use.

I have no regrets....it does everything I want or need it to do and it does it FAST!

I haven't had any of the problems some people have had with reboots after the OTA update. The update improved my battery life and boosted the sound when playing music.

I charge it at night as I sleep and during normal use lasts me all day until I go to sleep again unless I play games for a few hours on it, then it might need a charge during the day which is no biggie as I can charge it at my desk at work.

I like Sense, runs smooth and did I mention its FAST? LOL....I'm on 4G at all times...I came from the Original Droid, and the TB is a definate upgrade.

If you turn the syncing off, will your facebook update when you go in it? So if you have moderate use and just turn the syncing off and lower the screen brightness you will get good battery use? Do you have one of the 3G/4G switches on it? I don't have 4G yet here but we are getting it in a few months. I am guessing I wouldn't need it on unless I was going to get online or something.

No regrets at all! The 4g, frontfacing camera, htc sense, gingerbread coming soon makes it worthwhile, especially at the price you will be paying

Sell it on eBay and get more than 100.

No regrets at all. I think the whole battery issue is way overblown. I have been using mine heavily ( games, web, messenger, etc. It's my day off) since around 8 this morning
and I am at 50% or so. I've never felt the need to turn stuff off or turn the brightness down. Everything else about the phone is better than any other 4g phone out right now IMO. It's a great phone, coming from a Fascinate

Facebook will update when you open the app with sending off it just won't push notifacations. I use juice defender which closes data connections when the screen is off, but you can set it to turn them on periodically. There is an app to toggle 3g & 4g. I use "lte on/off", although I can't tell it makes a difference. I love the phone and I get through the day pretty good. Today it has been unplugged for 9 hours and have had the screen on for almost 2 hours according to the usage breakdown all of that using data some even youtube. My mom has a Droid x and I can't stand to use it over my phone, it feels so slow compared to the TB.

It's still the best phone Verizon has, they are selling more thunderbolts right now than any of their other devises.

I USED to have a DX and I couldn't be happier with my HTC device. I've rooted and got a good bit of bloatware frozen. Tonight I was in Denver for 5 or 6 hours and used 4G & GPS pretty heavily and used a little bit more than half a battery.
