jturner, try downloading these .apks

They are .apk's for the Droid 2, 2.3.2 which is what I needed. If you have any questions just let me know.

I tried downloading and unzipping that file on my computer and for some reason it would not unzip it says it is missing some files and cant be unzipped.

Ok I got the file unzipped and installed cityid ok. Now I cant get cardock to reinstall do I have to do something special with the odex file to install it. Thanks for your help so far.

just move both the .odex file and the .apk file to the system>app folder and then change the permissions. then install the .apk

Did that and changed the permissions on both of them to:
User read and write
Group read
other read

and it still didnt work what I am doing wrong

I got it this morning. All I did is put the apk and odex files in the system/app folder changed the permissions on both to user read write execute, group read exexute, and other read execute and did not install the apk. Then I restarted the phone and there it was thanks to all for your help.
