I have only ever used the update.zip method or flashed from rom manager, what is the benefit from doing a nandroid install of the rom? Do you get to chose what you want in the rom?

Congrats to you Woodyman! Your ROM gets my first posting. I installed version 4.0 when it was first available cuz I really liked the Sense launcher; however, I noticed that it sucks RAM like crazy. When I switched back to the 2.0.1 launcher, the RAM freed considerably. Is that normal? And has anyone else noticed?

BTW, I switched to Chevy's SS cuz the alarm clock wasn't working in 4.0. Considering switching back.... SS sucks battery atm and Chevy hasn't fixed it AFAIK.

no nandroid is basically the same as update.zip, nothing different, just the way you install/apply the ROM..

nandroid is typically only used with SPRecovery, REMEMBER clockwork and SPRecovery nandroids are not compatible with one another, so the one in the link is only for SPRecovery, which can be flashed via ROM Mananger or DMUpdater..

also all 3 of the ROMs:
Succulent Desire
Holy Blue
Droid Forums

can be installed via ROM Mananger. now.!!

yes that is normal man, the 3d launcher uses alot more RAM/memory, then the 2.0.1, that will be the same with all ROMs, not just mine.. so don't worry about this..

also glad to have you back, feel free to let me know of any problems, i try to address them right away.. a little busy during the day with class and stuff, as finals are apporoaching.. so be patient with me..
