Yep, but before that he was a lead singer in a band. They had one really big hit album and he was called Sam Hagar in the notes on the album. And since we're on page 3 a reminder, you have to know the answer. No fair using a search engine.

Sammy Hagar was the lead singer of Montrose, featuring lead guitarist Ronnie Montrose. If you never heard the album, "Montrose" give it a listen. It's a great album.
