[ROM] [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3][CDMA] Gummy 0.9.0 - 03/24/12 - The Remodel!

I've been having a problem since 8.2 with the phone rebooting to the Gummy loading screen and getting stuck there. I haven't noticed any particular triggers. My phone will just be sitting idle and all of a sudden just go to the Gummy screen where the dots are flashing like it's loading, but it never does. I then have to do a battery pull. It's happened with 8.2 and 9.0 and I do a full wipe every time I update. Never had a problem with this before 8.2. Any ideas?

I have had this happen something like once or twice a week for the past couple weeks... hasn't been enough to annoy me to the point of doing anything about it, though.

It happens to me about once every other day. I woke up one Saturday morning and it was stuck at the Gummy screen. Since I use my phone as my alarm, my fear is that this will happen during the week and then I'll be really screwed.

Hey, I finally rooted my phone after having owned it since 9:10AM December 15th! MUCH THANKS to WugFresh and his Root Kit, and to everyone else involved.

I had a hard time choosing which, if any, ROM to go with, and while I was initially leaning towards Android Revolution HD, I decided against it when I saw how dead the forums were...
So, I found GummyJar and I love it!

I am still figuring things out, it's like a whole new phone again! I did run into one issue, and that was that, after rooting and downloading ROM Manager to flash CWM Recovery, it wouldn't stick... Now, with the ROM installed, it seems to have stuck but I can't be sure. I followed the guides to the letter, everything went fine during the unlock/root/etc, it's just the CWMR issue (or maybe non-issue now, I can't tell?).

I backed up my phone's settings (prior to root) on my PC, as well as doing a "nandroid" backup at least I am preeeetttty sure that I did.

Anyway, thanks for the awesome ROM, guys! And if anyone could give me an assist with the above, I would appreciate it very much!

Congrats on finally rooting. If your recovery still isn't sticking, delete: recovery-from-boot.p from your system folder. This is just a file that tells your phone to boot into the stock recovery. Remove it, and you'll boot into Clockwork.

Thanks, I got it working... Problem now is, after doing a "battery stat reset" (after full drain and recharge while off), my soft keys are gone! I have no idea what to do to get them back???

Did you go into Gummy settings?

Sure enough, this happened overnight last night. Then I got a random hard reset this morning while my phone was sitting idle. Oh well, back to stock.

Dont know what you did but when I first did 9 I didnt wipe even though they said you didnt have to phone was running acting weird in general. So I wipped everything about 4 days ago and so far its all good. Sometimes you just gotta wipe its the cure all

I'm paranoid so I always wipe before updates, even if it's not necessary. I'm thinking it might be a kernel issue. Some people on the rootz wiki thread were having the same problem and it seemed to clear up when they flashed an older kernel version.

Or the damn phone. I never use the alarm but my phone is on all the time and I never had a reset or anything even when it was running bad it was just really running hot and the screens were flaky. Last night I did loose data and couldnt get it back with a reboot but I think thats a whole different thing. When I wipped and reinstalled I also switched Radios I was on 4.0.3 I went to 4.0.4. Gave me higher up and down speeds. What radio you on?

Diggin' the new rom. Great work as always. But...what happened to the NO LOCK option for the lockscreen??? Could you please include this again?
Thanks for the hard work!
