[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

Thought I would share this to see if anybody else has run into this issue.

I have been running CM on my droid inc since version 6 and love it. I have waited for a few nighties before installing it on my gf's droid 2. For the past 2 days she has called me with the "my internet doesnt work anymore" phone call. After looking at her phone tonight, turning network data on and off solves the problem. The phone is running nightly 31.

I SBf'd the phone back to stock before installing CM7 after reading through the best practices for installing this rom.

Does anybody have any ideas or know if this is a know issue with cm 7 on the droid 2? If you need logs off the phone just let me know and I can provide them to the devs that need help debugging this issue.

Thanks,
-Jimmy

Is Juice Defender on the phone? I have had similar issues due to that app.

I've had that same issue since nightly #32, and it happens every time I reboot.

I am thinking about switching from liberty what would the best way to do this be? should I just flash it over liberty or not? also which build should I dl?

Thanks

No juice defender here. The phone is overclocked with android overclock but nothing too crazy. Low Voltage with the fourth slot set to 1.25 ghz. I just set everything back to stock to see if anything changes.

Are you on liberty 2.0 or gb? If on 2.0, then yes. Dl the latest nightly and google apps. Wipe data, cache and dalvik. Mount system and install cm. When it's done, install gapps. Then reboot.

If you're on gb, you'll have to either sbf or use the tbh all in one installer zip to get back to froyo.

I dont know where to find the latest nightly or google apps

do I do these after I flash cm7 or before?

If you're referring to my post, that's just another link to the CM7 nightlies with the changelog info for each, so you can see what's changed in the latest version before downloading/installing.

If you're referring to something else, I'm not quite sure how to answer.

Can someone give me a quick rundown on how to install and use the V6 Supercharger script? I tried to go through the post on XDA but am confused on multiple points. Is there a version for the milestone only I need to stay away from? Is it flashed or do you execute it from the terminal?

I'm also curious if you can run it side by side with the imoysan tweaks without any adverse effects?

Well my friends.. I had gotten my first brick after a year!lol I killed my battery trying to sbf so they sent me another phone. I used the new phone to charge my battery, then sbf'd old one. But I couldn't activate old one! Hope when they get it since its sbf now there wont be any lingering su app! Lol they wouldn't let me keep my phone, had to send back.. guess I will see? Don't know why it stuck@ boot moto flashing 32!! Never had a problem bfore! At least my computer is set up for sbfing now! Woohoo! This software on replacement is rather different looking.. my keys are flatter. There is more black and the icons look like gb..oh well? Lol just getting ready to flash another nightly right from stock but not 32! Lol

Dl the latest nightly (from this thread). Dl gapps (from this thread)
Make sure you are on froyo.
Boot into clockwork recovery
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache
Go to mounts/storage and mount system (it will say unmount/system when it's mounted)
Install cm7
Install gapps
Reboot.

How long is a CM7 mod released with nightly updates? Does that happen always, or just until most of the bugs are worked out, and then it switches to maybe weekly or monthly updates? I would like to try CM7 on my D2, but haven't the patience to deal with reflashing every single night.

Thank you.
