Would flashing buryboi's updated, rooted stock rom be of help for those who didnt come from the latest stock version?

It should. From what I understand of Busyboi's ROM, it flashes the .330 system updates first (radio/device tree), then basically re-writes a very stock (of 2.4.330)backup file over top so what you're left with is a stock .330 environment with some of the work done for you already.

finally got to sbf, actually just sbf'd both of my d2g's (im an idiot), and flashed over stock. i dont think i got the ota updates though. no reboots so far. complete stock quad score of 1550, no apps installed besides quadrant score, titanium backup, and d2 bootstrap. seems a lot faster now even with lower quad scores(stagefright?) im going to slowly recustomize to see when/if bugs appear. going to flash moto multimedia pack from frm, along with a few others.

After sbf'ing you need to do a system update to get to make your system current.

Just a word of advice for those who have root tools. There is a pulldown text editor in the updated version. It does not work on the d2g. Everything else works as normal.

Does anyone know the shortcut for carhome. I keep my phone on my hip and 9 times out of 10 the car home menu is on it, when turning on the screen. Trying to figure out how to prevent it. Thanks

Since I went stock and upgraded to the newest Verizon update...then flashed this over I have had zero reboots of any kind.

I was on ultim8gmr's diet droid rom when i flashed fenom and i have yet to have a reboot of any kind .. dunno if that has anything to do with the price of chickens in china .. but it seemed to work for me ..

If that's the case, then it may be that reboots are more frequent due to some of you coming from 2.4.29, which has an older radio baseband. I may include the new(er) baseband in the next version, but that's the only thing it could be.

This ROM, unlike Fission, is a complete ROM, based on 2.4.330. It includes all of the framework, where as Fission was essentially a patch, of sorts, to whatever you already had. Fission was also based around the 2.4.29 framework, and those who came from a .330 stock or modded ROM, also would have issues.

0.9.3 will also re-include the default/stock Blur gallery, and possibly the Blur calendar (I've yet to decide on that one, as it would require putting back MORE of the Blur framework).

So regardless of what I am coming from, it is recommended to SBF before flashing Fenom? If that is the case, I have searched and searched using the forums Horrible search function, and must have missed the SBF Where to D/L and How To topic :/. Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

Just a word of advice or maybe just preferance. Always start from stock when flashing a a new rom (I keep a nandroid of it saved at all times with it also backed up on a comp.) That seems to help avoid some of the issues people are having.

Ok, I sbfd to stock, got the verizon update to 330, reflashed fenom over stock, and just got two reboots back to back. Its acting the same. I wonder if I should sbf again, leave the phone stock for a bit and see if it still reboots. Now I have 2 d2gs I can play around and test a little more.
Edit: or if its an app im running causing the reboots.

I updated after SBF and get reboots here and there.

I find that if I unlock quickly after hanging up on a call it will reboot. I think unlocking while phone is going from 1Xrt to 3G causes a hiccup. Also, I rebooted because I unlocked right when I was getting close to a "remembered" wifi.

Food for thought.......

Fenuxx, you may want to include the kernel too. 2.4.330 patch updates kernel as well, not only the baseband.

I flashed fenom over fission last night, things were working fine except the phone was running insanely hot and android OS was using more power than any other app/service.

Nandroid'd back to when i first rooted (.330 update) and the phone was still running full tilt, 105 degrees. Then flashed fenom once more, still heat and android OS issues.

Went back to a week and a half old fission NAND, things went back to normal after 5 minutes of letting the phone chill while underclocked. I guess I've just flashed too many different things (like liberty 1.5 via GRD's romer) without having the phone put 'back to stock'. Will be SBFing later tonight after work to try Fenom once more.
