Its his personal choice to donate or not donate for whatever reason he wants. While its awesome to donate to these various devs (I've done so myself), Android is an open source platform ...meaning free.

Fri night, got drunk and wasted $50 in an hour in the bar on dumb girls (by no means close to how much i used to spend but still made me angry sat morning)....

certainly would have been better spent on people who develop awesome stuff for my phone and then answer my ridiculous questions with patience.
