So is liberty going to give us the freedom to customize our roms like fab does with apex? Or is the name a shade misleading & just the same gjar base?

It is freedom from Blur which means, download the apps you want from the Android Market and don't have them thrust upon you from Verizon and Motorola. Apex is a good ROM that is a middle ground that has some of the Vz/Moto blur in it. If you are happy with Apex, great!
The tone of your e-mail comes across as a bit derogatory towards Kjar and the inspired and hard work he has done to remove the shackles of Blur.
Ok, here is the clarification: blur /= bloatware. Idk how people allowed those two terms to be so confused & muddled. Kindle, NFS demo, etc. (a.k.a. crap that can be installed from mkt) = bloatware. Blur constitutes apps/settings that were modified/added by moto for extra/dif functionality, i.e. dlna, dialer, gallery, audio effect settings, file manager, txt magnify/easy selection, etc. It really should have its own thread...
The reason the latter should be optional is because they are not available on mkt & are not able to be [re]placed back into the rom easily, if at all. (And even if they were, of the ones I listed, they actually add more & better functionality than the AOSP versions.)
Basically all I'm saying is you can still maintain a very fast rom with [good] blur, as well as some of the added features. If somebody doesn't want dlna, they can much more easily freeze or remove it with titanium. The audio effect settings actually make my headphones sound better, but that was removed from settings & can't be put back. Idk, maybe jrummy will make them optional with scripts, but I don't see the reason to mame a rom in the name of "anti-blur". & don't get me wrong, I like GJar speed & respect the time & effort that goes into the compilation, but in essence, it's just not very libertarian. Hence, my original question.
