Should I wipe the data and cache?

Do the wipe data/factory reset option followed by installing the ROM. Then once you boot back into the ROM you will need to sign into your google account, but I am sure you knew that part.

Excellent. If you see a "Google" boot logo and not the standard "M" one then it did install.
