Yea, there is a link in post #75 of this thread for the camera.zip. Grab it and flash it using clockwork it worked great for me.

On another note, I ran into a problem when I flashed the motorola desk dock back on. When I create a shortcut to a contact and click it, it always fc's. A link to the contacts app works but I when I link directly to a person it fc's. Any thoughts?

We should remember that 99% of the apps here was redone by the developer and are deodexed. So anything out there that use to work on your dx is not gonna mix well. Unless you have some insight on how to rework the source of this rom its "as is" baby.

don't use auto brightness..
set it manually to 10-12% and increase it only if / when outside.
that will help with your battery life

np... you can turn GPS back on. it will only be used when needed and then turn itself back off when not.
however, with weather apps, i would set those to a manual location.
the only thing needed to do geolocating is maps/navigation.

stuff like weatherbug (also turn off "follow me" type stuff) or beautiful widgets, just set to your local zip.

as for brightness. I set it to 10-12% and then have a beautiful widgets toggle icon on my home screen. when i'm outside and i need to see better, i just hit that toggle and it cranks it up to 100% so i can see great..
when i go back in or dont need it. hit the toggle again and it's back down to 10% which is usually more than enough to see indoors.
that alone will help with battery life big time as the screen is probably the biggest drain.
I'd also be sure my screen time out is set to 2 minutes or less (mine is set to 2min)

I'm just wondering if I can get back a couple of the apps from the stock droid x? I really liked the camera better on the stock droid X rom for instance. Also visual voicemail is missing.Any chance I can still get that back?
 
OK I downloaded GummyJAR 2.5 this afternoon. The phone is rooted, downloaded both ROM Managers (free and paid). Flash ClockworkMod Recovery is 2.5.0.7. Nothing has changed the phone is still the original screen. Says its downloaded but nothing happened. Rebooted nothing. Please help just got phone Droid X and put on LaunchPro+. Really like the Gummy screen. Help me get it. Thanks
 
You can't do it with rom manager alone. You'll have to download the droid x bootstrapper and use that to get access to clockwork recovery

Yep bootstrap did it thanks a lot. Now the only other issue is. I get alerts that I'm receiving my comcast emails and when I drag down the top notification banner it says 8 unread emails. But when I look in my comcast email app it just shows the ones I received before my ROM change. Cant find the new emails. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
Hey, I can't seem to uninstall google voice, do you know how i could? I imagine i'd have to use the ADB or something.

I know what your thinking, dude you use like gvoice for calling and texting 24/7 why do you want to get rid of it, but basically my battery life is crap now, and i check spare parts and it's like my phone has been running 100%, and i check partial useage and google voice is like 50% and android OS is like 12% so i want to uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes the issue (yes I have rebooted and I have force closed but it's been doing this for a week now, just kinda happened out of no where)

or if you have any suggestions of what to do
 
Sup!! Jumped through some serious hoops to get from flyx to gummyjar. LOVE IT. now looking for a nice blue/white /black theme. Thanks kejar

with regards to the email client that comes with this rom. I have my ISP email and my MSN/hotmail account added. the ISP email seems to work fine.
but with my hotmail account. it keeps marking read messages UNREAD. so i'm constantly getting "new message" alerts, when i go in, i see random messages, that i know for a fact i marked as read, now marked as unread.
it's a pain in the ass.. my ISP email account doesn't seem to do this. and i didn't have that issue with the blur email client.

any ideas/ fix?
 
This ROM has peaked my curiosity, but because I use my phone for business purposes I don't like to jump between ROMs unless I will be sticking with it for a while.

How does this compare performance-wise and battery life to a ROM like ApeX 1.3.1?

Id say battery is about identical for me. Performance is as good or better than apex. Real differences are the blur apps and the lockscreen style. I think gummy is perfect for an everyday/business phone.
