[ROM] Rumm Rx v1.0 - First dose of awesomeness ;)

Forced Close on add calendar event. Battery life is AWESOME but FC on calendar and PowerAmp not working are deal breakers. Need to be able to add calendar event. Battery Icon issue not showing 10%'s not sure if it's the ROM or the theme but I am REALLY looking forward to the next version of this ROM.

Clendar issue is a known prob on most of the 2.3.320 builds as near as I've seen. Battery % issue is from the theme you put on it as that whole setup is done in framework and if you theme the framework was more then likely changed. As for Power AMP you need to fix the build.prop another known issue being reported on other 2.3.320 builds.

Hmmm... interesting. I was running Rubix Blurry on the Leak and had no issues with the calendar. Once the Calendar issue is resolved though on Rumm Rx I'll be flashing back and giving it another shot. JRummy's work on the Droid is some of the best out there. I cant wait to see what all he has in store for the DX, hopefully some of his awesome color options :)

Still waiting for a copy of the SBF before I install this. (I learned the hard way with the 2.2 ota leak) I am not a patient type either so this is killing me. Someone please hook me up so I can stop jonesing!!!!:icon_eek:

I really liked the 928 BlackGlass theme. Anyone know if that's getting updated to work on these newer roms. I read somewhere that the builder wasn't doing any work on that theme.... If thats true is it safe to use the items I like from the older framework and just theme this myself? I know how but I don't know if there are compatability issues.

Soon as my laptop loads i'll send it to you. If you are unsure about the leak instructions, follow tbh's instructions.

Hey, for those having PowerAMP issues, you can fix this by removing (or commenting out) a few lines in the build.prop. They're towards the end. They are:

debug.mot.extwmlog=1
debug.mot.extamlog=1

ro.kernel.android.checkjni=1

Sorry for the newbieness, but how do you do that?

Here's a fix for the FC's that occur when trying to add a new calendar event:

1. Download BlurEmailEngine.apk to your sdcard.

3. Copy BlurEmailEngine.apk to /system/app (this will require making /system/app writable. In Root Explorer just press the R/W key when you're exploring /system/app).

4. You now need to change the app's permissions. In Root Explorer, long press on the app (in /system/app) and click on "permissions". Then make sure that only the following boxes are clicked: User Read, User Write, Group Read, Others Read.

5. Make sure you make /system/app read only again by clicking that box in the top right while you're exploring the folder.

6. Reboot phone.

You can now add new calendar events without getting FC's.

Probably easier just to do this:

Download the build.prop.txt file I attached to this post. Remove the .txt appended (had to do this to let the forum let me attach) and place the build.prop file on your sdcard.

Then, in terminal emulator:

su
sysrw
busybox cp /sdcard/build.prop /system/
reboot

and your PowerAMP should work after the reboot.

The other method would be to edit the existing build.prop, which is located in /system

You'll need something like root explorer to do it, or you can pull the file, edit on your computer, and push it back on.

Any chance this will fix my Slingplayer app problem as well?
