curious, is there any way to port the car dock dialer as the landscape version? I run handheld landscape almost exclusively...

FWIW, I never had to flash the WT mod. I was prepared to have to, but once I flashed the 5.6.886_to_5.7.893 update, WT came back. There was something in 5.5.893MR-1 that broke it originally I think.

Wow a penta post... Not just dual

When the new update comes out it will have the new 5.7.893 so I dont need to flash it seperatly unless I want it ahead of time? once I flash this I can still go back flash my backup of Stock rooted 5.5.886 and if and when an OTA from verizon comes out I can use Petes deal and go back to stock unrooted. If you flash the perma root then there is no going back correct?

no, the no going back aspect refers to flashing the kernel and radio via cupcake...
here is the strange part however...
I did the perma root on 2.0, went back to stock, flashEd 2.1 when it came out... just went to check on the file to see if perma root is still there and its not? Yet, I remain rooted?

Anyone able too explain ? I said no because I had a .bak file but thats gone now too?

I'm still looking for a way to enable a landscape dialer! And the guy who made the gauntlet device for the "predator" character that I might install my bionic...

Come on now... Every one of you would be wanting one if you saw it avail... : biggrin:

the file that gets modified for the forever root is under /system, which gets wiped when you flash something other than the stock rom. Once you have put a custom rom on your phone the change is gone. If you made a backup of the stock rom, and flash back to that before you do an OTA, you should still have the forever root on the backup (b/c you are restoring the modified /system files)

not sure if that made any sense or not
