[ROM] UNL3ASH3D V1.0 [BLURRY] MOTO Kernel (09/22/2011)

First ROM is always exciting! How about we get some more screenshots and reports of any bugs. So far it looks like two people have experienced 1 random reboot - nothing too serious. How about force closes? Any update on the Wi-Fi hotspot app being unlocked on this ROM?

I've never been on a phone that needed to utilize a bootstrapper to load roms. I've been on the D1 from the beginning of my droid days. What needs to be wiped and what shouldn't I wipe when installing this rom. Before I could just wipe everything and put it back together from there, this seems a little different so pardon me if it really isn't. I'm just not looking to have to go through the whole sbf/fxz thing. I understand that is a risk being taken but I would like to try and avoid it if possible. Any direction in how to properly wipe whatever (I know through recovery) and install this rom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance from a noob bootstrapper.

Zach

wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
in "mounts and storage" format /system

You won't lose any apps, app data, widget, or anything else.

Dare I say it's more stable than when I got the phone. I had a few random resets stock, going on 24 hours no bugs no glitches and between ti backup and this rom no bloat. My battery life is almost 15 hours, that's great compared to my dx's 8 if I was lucky.

Sounds like I have to check this out. I already had to reflash stock lol so I might as well try a custom rom

Haha. Saaame here. I'm close to letting my curiosity get the better of me, but I want to hear more reports from others. I also don't want to have to reflash every time a bug fix update comes out since it's still early on.

That's part of the beauty of this rom. You don't have to wipe data for his updates. All apps and settings remain. For the v1.1 rom update you have to wipe cache, dalvik, and format system. Data stays put. For the icon update, just wipe cache and dalvik. If you are worried, make a nandroid backup first.

This ROM ROCKS! Was sooo excited to see it....only bad thing is that it doesn't automatically re-add your apps but no biggie

I can't remember, but have there been any problems restoring a nandroid backup?
