Here's a quick port of Manup's MIUI Galaxy theme (beta). This also installs the MIUI original Mms app. Includes the keyboard backlight fix provided by thebowers. This is still very early but it does look very nice already.

MMS force closes on me now after installing, makes me sad panda

SOMEone else said that too. Did you intall this theme over the MIUI Rom. If so did that MIUI rom have the android mms or the MIUI mms from the update he released. I dont have Fc's. I installed this theme over my MIUI rom which had the mms update. There was a MIUI update before this theme :icon_eek:

Figured I could one shot it and install the theme that had the MiUi mms in it...so i shoulda installed the update then applied the theme?

I think i'ma go back to my nandroid sapphire backup and start from scratch...i want the stock phone anyhow...then i'll update in a better order

I like the ROM, the bugger is the weather never updates using location. No matter what weather app is used, location does not work.. bummer. would like to see this get resolved.

Weatherbug and Beautiful Home both worked for me...not the stock app tho

Only issue I have so far is that when I plug my phone into the aux port in my car to listen to music on sdcard, pandora, etc, it doesn't play. Am I the only one with this problem?

any chance of getting a reboot into recovery option? its nice when doing new installs all the time

Installed with wipe earlier today, then reinstalled over my UD8 backup and added the MMS and Keyboard/ERI patches

Since installing over UD8 I do not have my accounts and sync tab in the settings menu? Also getting FC in MIUI MMS app if i try to go to menu>accounts
Accounts and sync was working with the wipe method with glass dialer fix

any thoughts?

After rereading this thread i relized that everyone is having this problem... i will go hide in shame now...

Forgive me if this has already been addressed (I looked and could not find anything about it), have anyone had trouble getting updating Google Search and installing Voice Search? These are the last two things that I have not been able to get to work (besides the hotspot in the wireless & networks settings). Any direction or past experience would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

I believe that one poster said to use Root Explorer to delete those apps from system/apps and then download them from the market. I would make a backup first if you attempt this.

so i was trying to keep up with this rom, and had it working, but.. it can't compare to the quickness of my last rom.. i love the gui for it, but for now im gonna revert to my nandroid backup until a full tweaked release of this comes around. that and a full theme. this rom has so much promise tho. i just have too much other stuff goin on in my life to try to keep up with messing with this rom..

i wiped, i just chose the 720 recording option and it went to pot from there
im rebootin now
