[ROM] Zen-MIUI v2 Android 2.2 + MIUI

would the *228 issue be related to differences in the build.prop file? I was looking through the text comparing it to ss4.8 and there is one difference that stood out more than others. They matched for the most part with few exceptions but there was an entire line missing that ss4.8 had...and miui did not. I was wondering if it would be related to the build.prop line that is missing.

So what I did was do a backup of my phone now...going to go add the text and reboot....then try to *228 my phone to update PRL and MEID. I dont want the 2.2 dialer. I want MIUI dialer. Its WAY better imho.

still plan on doing this...if it doesnt work, I can delete the line...if I run into probs I can just restore.

I believe it's actually the ProgramMenu.apk and ProgramMenuSystem.apk that aren't in /system/app. Possibly because Zen hasn't been able to mod those 2 .apk's to work with the MIUI dialer, or vice versa and mod the dialer to work with those 2 .apk's.

But that's just my hunch, don't take this as fact.

ok, I didnt happen to notice those two apps. I didnt dig through .apk files as I didnt suspect there would be differences that would stand out.

I just hope this doesn't regress into a situation where only the devs and acouple of "beta testers" get the releases while the community sits and gets to read how great the rom is and that's its "coming soon". If nothing else metick atleast released updates fast and let the community choose wether to dl it or not even if there were still bugs or w/e wrong with it. I think that's part of the reason why his was so popular, he let the community beta test and released updates as soon as they were done.

Maybe i did something wrong but i dont have a calendar or camera app. The icon is there but says no app installed.

You don't need to wipe, but you really really should.

Only reason I asked is because it's already running pretty smoothly for me, I haven't had any issues really so far.

I installed this on top of v2, and I keep getting FCs from the launcher... I can't scroll or do much on it.
