[ROM] [ROM] ZombieStomped 1.7 (.595 D2 GB Motoblur build)

Do you have the right files? Rsd lite 4.9, latest drivers and full sbf file for your phone? Bootloader says ok to program? Try it on another computer as well.

Droid 2 Liberty GB v0.7
I am actually using 4.8 but I have SBFd with it successfully before.

I guess i will try and get the latest RSD and check my files and try again before trying to get a replacement.

You need the bootloader (power and up). Run a sbf from there. It'll fix ya.

Thanks, did just this and it showed up in RSDlite. SBFing now.

Argh. SBF is failing. RSD lite connects but doesnt see my phones properties. Then it fails saying my SBF file is not compatible.

RSD says my phone type is:
Engineering (1D1D3410D773020000003C060000)

Is it bootlooping? Hit the search key on your physical keyboard and choose factory data reset. That worked for me...

Guys I hate to say it but Apex 2.0 beta is the way to go... I thought my performance and battery life peaked with ZS however I was wrong... Apex 2.0 is by far the best rom there is for new 2.3.3 GB...

Meh. To each his own.
I tried out Apex 2.0 for a few days, but I much prefer ZombieStomped.

updated to 1.71

i update to 1.71 from 1.7, and when i go to check the about for version it still says 1.7, did this get changed???

So I went ahead and did an SBF on my phone and re-flashed ZombieStomped 1.7 back on Tuesday because my phone had been really buggy and I figured that doing so would fix things. Boy, was I wrong; things seem to have gotten worse. I receive most of my text messages more than once (I received one yesterday 26 times), my phone is chronically low on memory (never more thamn 20% available), it runs super slow much of the time, and I can't use Twitter's mobile site on my phone's browser. What gives? Apex for Droid 2 Gingerbread never gave me this much trouble.

Haven't tried Fab's GB Apex yet as Zombie has been great for me, but Fab does have a history of making some very nice ROMs, I ran Fab's Froyo ROM quite happily before I moved to GB w/Zombie.

Apex comes mostly "de-blurred" out of the box, though Fab does provide an option to restore it...there are also some additional complexities that come w/Fab's ROM in terms of how doing factory resets, etc., so anyone trying it needs to make sure they read the details of his post for the ROM. He's laid it all out very clearly...

Except for liberty gb, which is objectively the best rom out there (just kidding haha). To each his/her own! I've yet to try zs yet. It looks great though. Every time I make up my mind to flash it, jrummy pushes out a new nightly (which is happening tonight most likely!)

Just curious why do you think apex is better imo it is bland, also I have had none of the issues you have had maybe bad flash. Liberty is all right bit I prefer the blur. I'm not knoxking any of these roms as it is alot of tedious work.

I have to admit, i'm kinda digging the gingerblur too. Maybe I'll make the switch someday. The storm Shadow theme for liberty has the blur launcher so it's pretty close to motoblur.

I recently came across a thread that was talking about being able to load the "screen off animation" from Zombiestomp onto the phone but don't remember what or where it was. Anyone know what the thread was called? I kinda liked the animation but wanna put it on my current ROM.

Edit: nevermind. I just found it on droid-life.com.

Anto, I noticed in the Apex forum that you're restoring data using Titanium Backup. FWIW, I have finally learned not to restore apps and settings using Titanium Backup when switching between ROMs. My experience early on, even using Apex, was a lot like what you described above. In particular, I avoid restoring any system-level apps or data, including launchers. It takes an hour extra to get everything back to how I like it, but things are much (much much) more stable.

I'm grateful to the developers for their efforts, whether I use them or not. It is a bit rude to step in here and slight ZS, just because you prefer Apex at the moment. I've sent funds to Fab, and I'll do the same for ZS. These guys ask for next-to-nothing, and deserve support.

Anto, I've been observing this forum for a long time now...and have come to the conclusion that you are as Bi-Polar as a drunk clown.
Each person on this forum is using a ROM that they feel is the best for them, whether it be blur or otherwise. That choice is not dependent on their intelligence, nor does it give anyone a right to belittle them or the rom creator. A lot of hard work goes into these roms.

Try going outside and riding a bike, taking medication, fishing, flying a kite or running. Give the droid forums a break for a while and re-develop those social skills that you had in elementary school. Until then ... don't insult anyones mother. Its rude.
Bad Anto! Bad!
