Jumped onto Z 1.7 today, coming from Liberty GB. First thing I realized is my 3g speeds are horrible. I didn't run any type of speed tests, but I can just see the difference when browsing or doing any type of 3g usage. Anyone else agree with me? It could also just be a 595 build issue, since Liberty GB is on 591. Let me know peeps.

I also just flashed today, coming from ZS 1.65 on 591 but I havent really noticed any difference in my 3g speeds at all

would someone please tell me if the "removed data throttling" means that the TBH patch that allows tethering is on here by default? I'm not sure, but do not want to flash the patch unless i know for sure.

GPS doesn't work

Does anyone else have issues with GPS? My phone just says searching for GPS and will sit there forever.

Same here, I was under the impression that I wouldn't have to use the Light Flow app to have a "charge light"...

Wondering why the kernel version is still #1 rather than #2 as with the .595 builds? I updated the kernel to #2 via the apex beta kernel updater and seems fine. Not sure if it is any different but thought it should be included with 595 framework.

No it means that data throttling is removed meaning Verizon can't slow down your 3g speed because your using too much. Tethering on GB from what I understand right now is unsafe. Verizon might be monitoring it.

I noticed a 3g speed drop with apex beta but with ZS 1.7 im back to full speed just did a test and got over 2 mbs

It may be my imagination but the zs seems to run better with the proper #2 585 kernel. Got it from apex gb download page. Also wiped cache and dalvik before leaving cw.

The #2 kernel version was already installed for me, I wonder why it didn't up date yours?

I have a quick question, I am running the deodexed version of .595. If create a nandroid backup and install the ZS 1.7 per the OP instructions, can I do a advanced restore for data only from the backup I created earlier?
