I hate to add to the madness.. but I think I probably have a unique issue. I decided to do this with Better Terminal instead of waiting till I got home. Worked just fine, except:
- When I type 'su' I get a permission denied error.
- If I type '/system/bin/su' it works, but the prompt is '\w \$' instead of #.
- Superuser.apk works fine and it's giving root to everything that asks for it.
Also (and pardon me if I've missed it), but we should have access to the internal 8gb of storage now, right? Can someone who hasn't already upgraded grab the update.zip?
