Rooted Droid x Frozen at M after Gingerbread OTA

Yes I've pulled the battery and then when I restart I just get the motorola m. I have let it sit for up to 30 minutes and it won't go any further.

If you haven't tried yet boot into stock recovery by holding home button and powering phone on and wipe data/ cache

You need the drivers installed before you can sbf. USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA

Woke up to Gingerbread, unrooted. Upgrade went perfectly smoothly.

I unrooted, downloaded the update, but when it rebooted it said it failed to update. How do I fix that?

Everything works like a dream now! I initially thought I bricked my phone this morning but through it all I learned a lot of new things.
