Rooting itself doesn't change anything except your access. So, the answer to your question is no. However, it WOULD allow you to overclock to a higher speed with a different kernel.

I've rooted and updated kernel and rom. Everything works perfect. Even fixed the audio out/phone issue (when you have your phone plugged into the aux out in your car and take a phone call, the other person can't hear you if you answer and leave it plugged in).

GPS fixed, audio fixed. Took some tinkering, but it's great.

Mine wont download the kernal nor rom update said something bout signature verification failed any advice on how to get that to work
