We have a pretty exciting new rumor to share with you guys regarding the Motorola X Phone. Supposedly, a senior Telstra executive has made some enthusiastic comments on the new device. According to the source of this intel, Hugh Bradlow, Chief Technology Officer for Telstra, (the leading carrier in Australia), recently commented the X Phone is a, "real breakthrough, a game changer that will put pressure on Samsung and Apple". Additionally, he supposedly confirmed our previous reports that the Motorola X will be unveiled during the Google Developer Conference in May and will go on sale in July.
Additionally, the former Marketing Manager for Motorola Mobility in Australia, Barry Smyth who recently moved to the US to lead the marketing push for the new device. Finally, an unknown Motorola source shared the new X Phone will have software features never seen before in a smartphone. Here's a quote,
"Google has been working on this device for a long time. It has software features and capabilities that are not available on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or Apple iPhone. The software is really powerful and it pulls together Google services like no other manufacturer has done in the past," a reliable source told SmartHouse.
Well, that is certainly vague, yet supremely satisfying. It certainly sounds like Motorola/Google is going all out with this one, which will make for a truly thrilling Summer for mobile tech!
