[Rumor] Verizon Droid Prime Time! Exclusive in Oct; The Real Reason No SGS2

It's "supposed" to be no larger than the Bionic or any of the other "average" sized 4.3 inch phones. The difference will be in the absence of a bezel. Most of the face of this device will be usable screen unlike every other phone out now.

I never said it was going to be larger or smaller compared to any phone. I just said I know people that won't be it because of how large it is. I know people for instance, who won't buy anything over a 4" screen.

Well, you quoted me, and I was referring to DC4MVP's post asking if this was supposed to be bigger and badder than the Bionic.

Wait what?! I read last night on Android and Me that there is the SG2 LTE is coming to Verizon, and that Samsung is going to announce it at some event in Berlin (Can 't remember the name) I got excited, since it is supposed to have a 4.5 inch screen and a 1.5 GHZ Dual core, but maybe this is actually what they were talking about.

Even if you compare it to the Bionic, I'm sure a 4.65" screen is going to be larger than the Bionic. 16:9 aspect ratio will make this phone wider too, even if the front is all screen without any capacitive buttons.

Yes and no...

Yes for it being a GS2 announced with LTE, a 4.5" screen and 1.5 GHz dual core. But no to it being for Verizon. It's for Europe. Why would they make the announcement in Berlin for the Verizon version of the GS2 when we have a GS2 event going on tomorrow?

Verizon will be getting the Droid (Nexus) Prime, that's why they passed up the GS2.

That may be true, which is fine by me, I don't really care until I see some concrete specs. I'm sure a ton of people, myself included will pick up this phone, and love it as long as it actually turns out to be a "Nexus" device. Meanwhile you will continue to flame non-Bionic threads as you "Patiently wait for your Bionic."

If it has LTE (which it almost has too) this will be my next phone...as long as battery life is at least average.

I've been holding off waiting for a dual core, lte, oled screen phone and this appears to be the first possibility since the s2 is off the table...I just hope it's not delayed and really comes available in October as I have a hard time waiting for things.:icon_evil:

Nobody's flaming anyone here. You might be taking what I say a little too personal. Calm down, this is just a forum and this is just a phone. I would gladly take this device if it came to Verizon.

I'm not sure I have ever seen Arkbird "flame" any non-bionic threads... He always seemed like one of the most level headed people on here.

Just going by what they said since there isn't any concrete info, everything is just rumors now.

i doubt Sammy would announce the Nexus device - Google usually does that, itself.

The Galaxy SII LTE and Prime are two different devices. The SII LTE is most likely a European device as Ark stated. As yes, Google will be the one to announce the Prime, as long as it's a Nexus device and not a Droid.

Curious, I seen post that says this is a dev phone, does that mean a regular Droid lover should pass on this phone?
