[Rumor] Verizon May Share Plan Changes on June 26; Family Data Sharing Plans Possible

I use i8 to 10 gb a month,I didt get an android not to use it.I also like how people make up this low price to say they save. Money. I also pay 80 a month 4 5 gb on. My tab good luck sharing that the overages are going to stick alot of people.fyi I've never teathed, I just do what I bought iphone 4 which is using it

if 5 people in my family use less than 2GB a month, why would I suddenly be hit with overages because we share data?

Well yeah, but that could happen on an individual tier as well. My point is, it hasn't happened in two years where we've gone over 2GB, so I somehow doubt that we suddenly will. But yeah, i could happen, I just doubt it will, at least in my case.

Or they could just do it like AT&T does (with their tablet plans, at least) in that when you hit 2gigs, you're done for the month unless you manually reload it for the remainder of the month. No overages.

The fact is, VZW continues to make changes that generally benefits most users, and people just keep making-up their silly what-if scenarios to keep bashing.

I would like to have unlimited data just in case, but I average less than 1 gig a month (closer to 2gigs on my IPad, for everyone who claims data is data and that you don't use more on bigger devices). So if VZW goes to 2-3 gigs and includes tethering, I haven't really lost anything and pick-up tethering.

I'll have to assume this part is directed at my comment. Am I guessing, yes. I used speculation from a few other tech sites as guidance. But I'm pretty sure I'm on the ballpark. I'm sure 2-3gb is fine to meet my needs. I don't stream music and videos, nor do my sons. We're mostly web-surfing and downloading ebooks and games. I can also track their usage. You can always monitor and control these situations.

Tlhey should come up with a plan for people who dont use as much,but still have ulim,for the rest of us.im a truck driver and they sold me on the d2 because of its streaming capabilities. But again yoy dont have to teather to use that much expescially when verizon in pushing vcast,pandora,netflix in there ads,to me to say I can,then rip the rug out is a little cold.

I agree with you though. I think people have relied on and received a certain level of service and to have that drastically reduced is not the best approach. They need to find a happy medium.

The latest Nielson studies show that even at the 95th percentile usage is only at 1.5Gb. the 99th is 4.6Gb if you're using more than that you're one of those outliers. Keep telling yourselves that 5Gb a month is "normal"

Thats what i shoud get.i bought this phone on a 2 year so if i one day say well i dont want internet any more will they say fine go head and change it.ah no. Your numbers are suspect any way people on here all the time saying they use more.if you less fine i hope they make a plane but dont bag on the people who actually use their phone

...you do know that if everyone on this forum used 20gb a month, that'd still be less than 1% of vzw users right?

Yes your prob right,but even if i was the only one thats what i signed up for.i bought d1 back when the iphone and att was killing verizon. I will not switch as verizon is the best one out there. Thats all it doesnt really matter cause it starts in july anyway

Feel free to use as much as you want. Vzw doesn't care, they won't charge you. Your not the problem. The problem is the ppl who use 70gb a month tethering and then whining.
