Running Jelly Bean 4.1 ...

How's battery life? Same old?

When will it actually come out for the Verizon nexus

In the short amount of time I have had it, I am probably about on par with what I was getting on ICS. I am going to try a different kernel tomorrow and see if that changes anything. Although, I think I am going to ditch JB as there are a few features from the custom ICS ROM I miss already.

Its just smooth. As far as battery life it is probably even with ics, just i can't put the phone down so idle time will be short.

just swapped over to JD's v5. Even tho I do miss some options in the ICS rom's I think Im gonna stay put with 4.1 DancingNexus

Been running V1 since yesterday. Had terrible wifi issues but the vzw fix on xda took care of that. The little touches are nice, google now is pretty cool. Notifications are better, voice actions, camera app... so far has handled everything I've thrown at it, no bugs, bootloops, or other issues. Probably gonna stick with this for a while. Gnex dev community is the shiz, I'm amazed this is even available.

I agree, I'm waiting.

On a side note. Amazing? Really? A phone, software, amazing?
Man I hate the overuse of that word.

Skeptic :)

Nearly every single person I've heard talk about JB was blown away by how smooth everything is now. Amazing? Yes, absolutely.

How does Jelly Bean compare with Linaro's modifications?

I've heard mixed reports. Some say they see no difference, others say Linaro kernels only add to the smoothness.

Edit: Oh, were you referring to head-to-head? If that's the case, there's no comparison. JB makes android 1000 times faster and smoother than Linaro injected ICS.

Google put in work on jb. This is more likely a rc and already its google's best build yet. By far... not slightly ...i mean blowing away. Motorola listen do with jb like you did with ics and the razr maxx will be a beast.

When i was running cm9 w/linaro it ran really well. The benchmark scores were even better than some tablets i think the highest i got was about 3300 on quadrant. But with jb it feels alot smoother and polished. I was running vanirbeans v2.1 and now im on v5. Let me tell the skeptics this; i wasn't expecting this "hacked port" to be this good. It feels better than cm9 w/linaro. The new features in jb are pretty cool. My wifi and gps is working as it used to be.
This rom is stable enough to be a daily driver. This was only released a couple days ago. Imagine how awesome jb is going to be once the devs get crackin

Should we coin a term for the "hacked port"? How about Frankenbean?!

For me. Battery life is better then it was. But I was running a linardo build that had issues :)

I'm sure we will see it pushed to our phones....meh probably after the new nexus phone comes out. So...mid December.
