Samsung Disses iPhone in Latest Ad

Man Samsung really needs to stop with these type of commercials. They come off as childish and almost bully like.

I completely disagree. Stating the truth (in this fashion at least) is bullying? They're not hurting them, just spewing out truthful facts. Sometimes this is what it takes to send a message. This is no different then those 'I'm a Mac' commercials.

Really its more aimed at how narrow minded and how much isheep follow apple. Its insulting the apple following hoping to turn them into customers. Also Samsung was doing these commercials before the Apple lawsuit. Finally why must Samsung continuously go after apple its just kind of annoying. They are making apple seem like the big dog in the yard you have to pick on to be come successful. I'm in the belief of ignore them and don't give them any acknowledgement and then just promote yourself without cutting things down.

Don't get me wrong I am strongly behind Android/Google. It just Samsung I'm having issues with. They just seem like that girl in class who is gorgeous and has a lot of great things to offer...but always has to try and cut down and compare herself to the head cheerleader. Just like...c'mon Samsung....I don't care at all about apple...show me what ya got with your own merit and not what you can do compared to something.

Watch some old MAC commercials and see where Samsung got the inspiration for theirs.

I agree somewhat.

It's just that, this is a business. For every customer that goes to Apple, it's one last customer for Samsung. They don't want to lose potentially customers to a phone that is not better than theirs. A lot of Apple fans don't know what Android brings to the table, they still think it's those laggy devices from 2009-2010 so they don't even give these phones the time of day.

The fact is, at least in the US, Apple IS the big boy in yard. To knock em down, they've really almost have to do all they can do. These commercials do it. I find it hard to believe people with iPhones are going to be like, "Wow Samsung is just mean. I don't care that they have more features if that's the case". The direction they're going with is getting them to be like, "Wow, I had no idea iPhone's really don't have much going for them anymore.. even the iPhone 5 doesn't have these features".

However, the big issue with Android is their marketing. The commercials for the most part are horrendous. They don't show off enough features and how they can benefit the customers more. Apple commercials are simple and to the point, and make it so you think you need the features it has. Even Amazon does it right. Android commercials lack that.

Check out the Nexus 7 commercials, that is the route commercials need to be done to send a message.

Agreed 100%. Android commercials are typically carrier commercials. They show off the network rather than features. And what the hell is up with Motorola Droid commercials? They don't even make sense. They're too into flashy, unrealistic scenarios where the RAZR cuts through some armored truck. I miss the original Motorola Droid commercials. Droid Does. That was catchy. That showed off features. I never wanted a phone more than after seeing those first commercials.

Indeed. Really though Samsung's commercials play along that same idea: "Everything that iDon't, the Galaxy S3 does." They're just doing it in their own way. Also, whom did the "iDon't" commercials appeal to? Techies. These Samsung commercials are clearly shot and directed in a way that is more likely to strike a note with Apple's main audience, i.e., artsy types in hipster wear. Not trying to be overly-critical, but everything from the slight "haze" and higher tones to the clothing of almost everyone in the ads speaks to that ideal. Samsung knows how to get their bread buttered.

As soon as the commercial starts you know most iPhone fans are thinking, "Hey, that's me!" and smiling, until the shearing begins :happy3:

Absolutely. And I think that's partly the reason why Samsung has experienced the success that they have. Motorola was revitalized under Android thanks to the Original Droid and it's advertising. Samsung has picked up on that and have continued where Motorola left off. Moto's marketing team really needs some cold water thrown on them and get back to advertising features. No one wants to see a RAZR slicing through an armored truck.

I'm digging the first two but the last one fails to really do anything for me

Apparently they think that droid commercials need to be more like an action movie than about the device.. sad..
