Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Motorla Droid RAZR Feature Showdown!

Haha, im so tired of that quote... yes mega pixels arnt everything and i never said they were but you say it like they are really nothing. O.o while i do believe quality camera equipment is better then Megapixels, megapixels are required in order to have a good camera. Im thinking if it is a 720p recording 1.3mp camera, its only up to a certain distance or something. Their is definitely a trade off for the lower pixels, i guarantee...just got to know what it is. Lower photo resolution id believe...but I'm no camera expert. I haven't exactly researched this topic. I guess instead of sounding like an idiot i should... but im to lazy right now.;)
Well thats because they don't really. Do you think an 8 MP camera can somehow stuff more pixels into a 960x720 video then one that can only record in 960x720? Theres the same amount of pixels in each video... Yes the tradeoff is that still-picture size is much smaller, and cant be blown up while keeping the quality.

I think it pretty close on looks. Motorola has that executive/ corporate look fine tuned with the Razr. Plus being water resistant will help. A major downfall for looks is that camera and the hump it adds. I don't mind it on my Droid X, but for looks it would be nice without it. The Nexus design could be better if you ask me, but im sure the apple ordeal had something to do with the design, still can't beat ice cream sandwich, display, pure google. It will be interesting when i choose a new phone.

I like the looks of the Moto over the Samsung, I like the removable SD card, but you cannot change the battery and it says Moto and I have an X (or should I say my third X). Guess it will be time to check out this Samsung real close. But I'll wait until all the experts do about a two month test.:icon_ banana:

I am trying to decide between the two of these on Verizon. One feature I need is mobile hotspotting. Razr has it, but there has been no mention of whether the Galaxy Nexus has it. Does anyone know?

Beyond easy to me!

Battery life > Screen size

And kevlar + gorilla glass = Something I can breathe easy about if I drop it when I'm out walking or whatnot

The specs are nearly the same. NFC isn't relevant to me yet (I don't even have LTE yet!!!) & I can upgrade to Ice Cream the moment that bootloader becomes unlocked!

So shoot, I'm not thinking hard on this. Unless the Prime has a lower price....it's Droid Razr all day for me!!!! (Which I will be buying via Best buy mobile or wirefly on black friday!)

Nexus hands down.

I hated Blur on my Droid X and I don't feel like doing ROMS any more, I just want the Vanilla OS. I'd rather have updates as they roll out from the source rather than waiting on a home-brew that may or may not be fully functional. Most of my data is on the cloud, and I share things via my NAS at home anyway, so no SD card on the Nexus is a non issue. I have yet to find a reason to pull out my SD card. NFC has tons of potential uses and having it when a cool feature comes around would eliminate the itch to upgrade before my contract is up. NFC payments are up and running here in D.C. and Google Wallet works anywhere MasterCard allows NFC payments. There are a ton of vendors who are signed on and using NFC payments. It's probably active in your area but you've just never noticed because you don't have the ability. Google Wallet allows you to add as much or as little money to it as you wish so it's secure in that manner.

Nexus is the right phone for me. They definitely sold a phone last night.

I think the 4.65" is a little bit of a misnomer. Everything I have understood indicates the 4.3" is the primary screen size with .35" going to the buttons on the screen, but the .35" CAN be utilized in the videos and games should the apps request use of the space.

So after everything is said and done and both phones have had their dog and pony show, I am still floating in the same boat I was in 24 hours ago. I'm leaning to the Nexus, but I have an itch for the Razr. What it is going to come down to is walking into a Verizon store once both of them are on display, fiddle with them both, and walk out with the winner. One thing I do know for sure is that the bionic is staying in the Box and going on ebay. haha

How is 16/32GB internal better then 16GB w/ 16GB MicoSD? Also 50mAh less and the camera should be equal, just because it's 5MP instead of 8MP doesn't mean the quality of the photos aren't just as good, if not better.

No SD Slot for the Nexus, no removable battery and having bloatware for the Razr.

Pick your poison.

Yikes. Why would they do that? Those are two great features android phones can give you.

If I had to pick one, I would take the non-removable battery.
Plus, I think they added a way to force the phone to shut off.

But it looks like i'll stick with the D3 for a bit longer.
