Samsung Galaxy Nexus Video Review - Phonedog.com

I sure did, that's why I said that. I don't get the whining. Lag? Laughable. I'm not going to complain about a few milliseconds. Processor? In the real world it means squat they didn't use their "superior" processor. That's something for the basement fanboys to brag about, not my thing. In the real world I'll be using my phone as it's intended. Not running benchmarks all day to make myself feel good. Underwhelming camera, based on what? Megapixels? Zero-shutter lag, decent quality pics from a cell phone. What more do you want? At least it's not a Motorola camera. What are you comparing it to? A $7000 Nikon or Canon DSLR? Give me a break.

Jcardona, I have to step in at this point. Your statement of "at least it's not a Motorola camera" is full of @%&!. How do I know that? Your basing your statement on previous Motorola phone cams and your worship of Nexus. I'm basing my counter on the SAME guy who reviewed the Nexus cam, reviewing the Razr camera. Not my opinion, not my impression of a phone I never held in my hand. SAME GUY, reviewing two phones. Click the link, go to 4:10 mark. And please, stop this blind bashing of other phones without any comparative evidence. Worship all you want. But bash with care.

Motorola DROID RAZR Video Review Part 2 | PhoneDog

I'm not blind bashing. I've seen plenty of review vids on the Razr's camera. Let me ask you this. How can you say that the Razr's camera is better than the Nexus? Not sure if that's what you're implying though. The camera software on the Nexus has a ton more features. And the shutter lag is instant. The Razr is fast, but not as fast as the Nexus. So again, what does the Razr's camera have on the Nexus camera? Megapixels? I've seen several HD video recording comparisons between the Rezound and the Razr. The Rezound was great, and the Razr looked like crap. I bash Motorola cameras because they SUCK compared to what Samsung and HTC can do. There's no denying that.

The megapixels do nothing. It's not about the specs. Its all sensor and image processing software. Razr is the best Motorola camera to date. You cannot use the GSII camera reputation to surmise that Gnex camera is the same great camera. It's not. Watching the videos, the shutter lag is about the same on both. The videos and reviews you have seen on other sites are by DIFFERENT people. I'm hoping for more reviews of the two cams by the same person under the same conditions. I agree, the Rezound camera is better. I'm not denying that. I'm just stating that you do not have a DIRECT evidence of Gnex camera being better than Motorola, while I was able to provide you with the evidence of the converse.

Agree. As long as we understand that that opinion is not mine, but a third party backed by video.
Provided he has the same anatomy as the rest of us. :)

Lag of only a few milliseconds? You obviously didn't watch the video. The transition from portrait to landscape takes a good 5 seconds or more.

Having a better processor doesn't matter for real-world use? You haven't had your hands on the SGS2, obviously. The web browsing and general multitasking is absolutely buttery smooth. Virtually no lag, due to the Exynos.

Megapixels? Why do you keep bringing this up? I never mentioned it. I just said 'underwhelming' camera. Meaning, according to the video review, the picture quality is nothing to write home about. And you can throw around the Zero Shutter Lag catchphrase all you want. My OG Droid has zero shutter lag with a little help from an app via the market.

Sent using common sense.
