Samsung Galaxy s3 issues with play store

Off late two things happened in my phone:

1. Play store crashes often , even restoring to factory settings didn't help.
Sometimes i can clear it's cache and still crashes.

2. I had an AData 32gb external micro sd card. My phone didn't recognise it.... card isn't recognisable in laptop even.
Obviously card is damaged i guess.

These 2 could be totally separate issues. ...or are they?

Please advice how to fix play store crashes.

Please suggest a good brand of micro sd card that will last longer.
