The Samsung Galaxy SII is apparently going to be the hottest new Android phone globally very soon. Supposedly, multiple world-wide carriers have already requested almost 3 Million units so far. Samsung indicated that this is one of the highest pre-order numbers they have ever had from carriers. In fact, Samsung intends to sell 10 Million of the handset by the end of the year, and considering those pre-sale numbers, that is not out of the realm of possibility. Let's cross our fingers that one of those carriers is Verizon.

After reading a few reviews, this is certainly at the forefront for my phone upgrade come August.

Anybody know when this is coming to the US and whether it'll be available on Verizon?

This phone would be a downgrade for me. I'm not giving up 4g.
