Samsung Officially Unveils Galaxy Note 3 Phablet/Smartphone

My GNex was great top to bottom and I loved it. The Note 2 smokes the crap out of it but up until, I didn't want any other phone.

I agree! Its one of the main reasons I want to get a Moto X(never will though)! Reminds me so much of the Gnex, but faster and much much much better radio's

I like what I am seeing in the specs when compared to my Note II and also comparing this upgrade to previous upgrades done by Samsung and other carriers. Usually with the processor they would take a 1.6Ghz and bump it up to say 1.8-1.9Ghz for the next version of the phone, but this time they added 700Mhz of power instead of 200-300Mhz. Also, they usually wouldn't add more RAM, a significantly better graphics chip or a better/higher MP camera. This is a true upgrade to an already kickass phone/line. I prob won't pre-order on 9/6, but I am def getting the Note 3. After that I will need accessories, like a matching case, spare battery and new 10.1 tablet and watch lol.

Not kidding about the tablet/watch. Will be getting all of them before Christmas :D

thanks for posting this, definitely a good read.

I love my n2 but this... this is what the n2 should have been... I will definitely be getting the n3 when I can...

ALL FIVE of my lines are out of contract at the end of september... my 2 unlimited have been for almost a year and a half... the others in the middle of sept... I want to just kill them SOOOOO BAD... but I want this phone.

decision decisions.

13MP camera BSI Sensor with High CRI LED flash with Smart Stabilizer

I heard him say they added this for better low light pictures.

Starting to feel a little suspicious regarding the camera. All of the Samsung media info seems to be almost going out of their way to not discuss the camera and sound quality. The S4 has a BSI sensor and I can't find anything anywhere that says it is upgraded from the one that performs poorly in the S4(compared to the competition). Also, no info that I can see on the aperture which is crucial for low light shooting.

Its probably not the sensor that performs poorly, its probably their JPEG engine. Thats something that can always be approved upon. I would expect the camera to be atleast a little better.

Man, I'm really looking forward to reviews of all the high end phones coming out this month. HTC, Samsung, LG and Sony all seem to have some really good specs. For me, screen & camera are two big selling points, so we'll see which of the manufacturers deliver. It's great NOT to be a fanboy, lol. Choices, choices, choices. Difficulty level=advanced.

I am not expecting DLSR quality, but we know now that they can do better as mobile phone manufacturers in regards to this. It looks like a great phone but I will be paying full price to keep my unlimited data. So I guess expectations are maybe a little higher than normal. I sure would feel better if Sammy would release full specifications. Very weird to me that they haven't.
