If I had to guess, I'd say your phone isn't in MTP mode. It's not able to write to your sdcard-ext. That seems bad. You'll need to fix that before you can copy the update to the phone.
I'm completely new to this process, I've read the HOB page, your FAQ and all of the comments. The one thing I don't understand is why safestrap should be removed? I've backed up my files and am just about ready to try this, just want to be sure about the safestrap. I was tempted to try the one-click process that droid modderx has on his youtube page, but your instructions are so much more detailed, the one-click seems too good to be true. The information you've made available is astounding. Thank you for taking the time to educate us and for being so thorough. Very disappointing how Verizon is treating their customers. Thanks for your time.
Safestrap modifies the preinstall partition. As long as you shut down on the unsafe side, the HoB is going to wipe out all that crap for you. But you better make sure you got everything backed up first. And you will need to reinstall safestrap when it's done. if you shut down on the safe side and try to flash, you won't like the resulting brick.
