Sapphire 1.0 and FRG22

Whatcha talkin bout Willis?

I don't see anyone mentioning Droid 1 and Android 3.0 anywhere in this post

1.) Big red has discontinued sale of the Droid1, so it makes little to no sense as to why they would continue to work on build releases beyond their froyo drop. It has been confirmed that Droid1 will not have support for Android 3.0, and if there were some glaring bug or problem with the FRG01B build that FRG22 fixes, then why would they bother sending out the FRG01B build yesterday when they obviously had FRG22 built already anyway?

From the first post in the thread...

Ah...missed that

If this is what they're pushing out...and Pete's is based off of this...then that sucks. Only because of the 802.1x bug in Froyo.

Issue 8804 - android - wpa_supplicant 0.6.10 (froyo) unable to auth in a wpa2/enterpise wifi - Project Hosting on Google Code

Cannot connect to Eduroam since upgrading to 2.2 Froyo - Android Help

Android 2.2 Can't connect to the corporate WiFi network with EAP 802.1x - Android Help

Well, when the 2.2 update gets pushed out. There are going to be a lot of upset users since going from 2.1 to 2.2 screws it up. Pete, is this something you can fix in your ROM? dancedroid

Well, guess that settles that. If you were using 802.1x Enterprise on your android phone just fine in 2.1...then when you go 2.2...you're out of luck till they fix it. That just sucks. True not many people use Wi-Fi. But...dang....

Dang....The leaked build had my hopes that they were going to fix the darn Froyo 2.2 802.1x Enterprise bug.

if someone is willing to offer me a few minutes of one-on-one advice on how to minimize the headache of doing a full wipe to take a new ROM, please send me a message. I can meet in the IRC room. It took me hours to restore everything last time going from 0.7.0 and 0.8.4 (home screens, widgets, SetCPU profiles, various logins/preferences/etc here and there) and I'm sure there's a better way to do this that I'm just too stupid to figure out on my own. Thanks!

I've been using titanium since I rooted my droid and paid for a license. I wouldn't be caught dead without it.

It hasn't failed me yet. And I've tried out plenty of roms in the past month or so. :D Waiting for Sapphire 1.0 now.

Only Cvpcs and a couple other developers seem to have a full grasp on this compared to other devs out there (no offense). Others seem to use the numbers to make their rom seem more up-to-date, therefore better. I wish other devs and other rom users would look more into these sort of things, and figure it out for themselves so that post like this weren't necessary.

Now about 1.0.0. Can't wait. :) Making my backup now so I can wipe when the release is official. Hope a few other of the themes I like will be ready when the release goes live, so that I have something to cover up the stock theme. Can't wait for official DE support for Sapphire 1.0.0...

I would take a look at the article on droid-life.com about the FRG22 build, it seems that verizon is actually releasing this build currently as a secruity patch for the FRG01B build.

Anyway, 1.0!!!

Hey, when I try to install ROMs from Sapphire they always abort when in Clockworkmod recovery, it works good in SPRecovery though. Why doesn't it work in Clockworkmod?

I am not sure if this has been discussed but I was getting FC's like crazy when trying to run LauncherPro Plus. I am also not getting 270 rotation which seems dumb because I thought FRG01B has 270 rotation.
