Saving Picture To Phone From Text Message

My boyfriend recently got a DROID and I sent him some pictures from my phone but we can not figure out how to save them to his media gallery. I have read similar posts but nothing makes sense. We clicked on the menu button while viewing the picture in the text message but it only gave us the option to 'set as' wallpaper or contact id. If anyone knows the simple way to just save it in the phone, please help! Thanks!

Long press on the message... a box should pop up, and save will be an option
