Sorry you are having so many problems with the X. My wife had her original for a good while but is on her second refurbished now. Very disappointing I think. Welcome to the forums though, I think you'll get all kinds of useful information. I hope this is your last X (because this one will work until time for your upgrade :icon_ banana.

ok root has its pros and cons but I will leave it up to u to decide. here's a link for more info. u really don't need to root if ur not gonna do any flashing of new ROMs or for possible tethering. u can still tether without root
