my driod keeps saying that its low on storage space and my text msg is full. i went as far as deleting apps to make space, turned my phone on n off and its still not working. any one have any suggestions? please?
Welcome to the forum. The low on storage space is refering to your hard drive inside the phone. How many apps/themes/home replacements do you have ? I would suggest looking at some of those and deleting what you do not need. You can also confirm this by going to settings>sd card & phone storage and see what your numbers are.
As for the message regarding your text message being full, are you using the stock messaging app or are you using a replacement? One thing you can do is within the messaging app settings reduce the number of messages it will hold before deleting. Remember that if you have long message threads those take up a lot of space. I usually delete my message thread when I am done discussing a topic with someone.
thnx ..I use handcent, i usually erase them after im done, i have my limit set to 50 ( my tweets add up) I also use launcherpro and thats it..the rest are apps for games/music..it says i have a good amount of space left so i dunno why it keeps doing this
Does rooting help with this issue? I recently rooted my Droid 1 and still have problems with running low on phone storage as well as the text message is full when I only have 13 texts with no attachments.
I have app2sd and moved everything I possibly could as well as cleared cache on my apps except for shapewriter since I have so many words I added to the dictionary.
