Screen Light Up For Notifications?

Hey. Just got my droid last night and was wondering if there is any way or some type of setting so that when i recieve a notification(i.e. text, update, etc.) for my screen to light up?
The vibrate isnt very noticable and i cant always have it on ring. Its just really annoying having to power it back on to check for a notification. Thanks!

Your LED light will be flashing when you have some kind of update. No need for the screen to be lit up.

I have the same question. I hated on my storm that only the light blink. when im sitting in class i cant constantly be checking for my light to be blinking, a full screen light up is way more noticable. The blinking light is not enough sometimes.
