Screen turning off and on

Has anyone else have the same problem??
My screen will turn its self on and off and its killing my battery life.
The cycle seems to be that it will turn its self on for 30 seconds then it'll turn off for 30 seconds, then back on for 30 seconds and so on and so forth.....
It started doing this when I got the last update (back in early Sept).
When I first got the phone I was getting 20-23 hours on the battery.
Sometimes I'm lucky if I get 12-14 hours on the battery.
It even charges slower because the screen keeps popping on and off..
PLEASE HELP!

Do you have any smart actions active? What about about your display sleep time? What home launcher are you using? Are you using the original charger that came with the maxx? Have you tried a reboot by holding power button down for at least ten seconds? Do you have anything blocking or touching your display sensor? I know this is a lot but one or more maybe causing this. If all else fails, fdr the phone..its a pain but I bet that fixes it. If none of this fixes it, take it to VZ..there maybe something wrong with your display or display sensor.
