everyone gives up mobility. no apps on homescreens... thats what a homescreen is for. everyone (almost...) has less then 5 apps on their homescreens. its insane, not sane, and i just dont get it. its not like your showing your friends saying hey, look at this. i dont go around doing that. im sorry im hating but i just dont get it.
Personally, I like making my phone just look.. sexxxxxy.

I mean, I'm 18, still in school.. people my age like showing off their stuff. Lot's of my friends got the "phone who's name shall not be said" and it's all the same.. even jailbreaking isn't as customizable as what I can do on an un-rooted phone. For instance, I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the UFC PPV with my friends, my friend just got a new iPhone (oops I said it) that day tries showing it off, I whoop mine off, and now he's jealous.
I like the simplicity of it that we can have.. one button I can reach everything I have, so why not have it look nice instead of a bunch of widgets everywhere lookin like a jumbled mess(I know, not everyones is like that, but I've seen plenty of Android users(my brother too) with their screens so bland and boring and all messy looking)? I still use widgets.. My lock screen and home screen are for show off reasons and for me to look at it in awe, then my other pages are a little less fancy, but still nice.
I like when a friend needs to use my phone or simply just wants to see my phone(since mines new, everyone wants to check it out) and like, "wow, this awesome, how'd you do that?" if they have android, or, "wow, I wish my phone could do that" if they have an iPhone.
Is that not also the point of Android? Getting out phones the way we want them to be? Not everyone all having the same thing.. that's boring. Just a simple background change and some widgets, while nice, is nothing really special after having android for a while..
But.. to each their own.
