Okay, here's mine. Lately have been experimenting with ssLauncher using the simplism theme (thanks to joshxdroid). I use pWall to change wallpapers. All widgets except the weather (beWeather) is part of the simplism theme, each configured to open my choice of app. The text “A beautiful day" opens up “start menu" app.

that's pretty cool, better than the power/volume down method I suppose...nothing major but a nice tweak
