Sd card

Yesterday my phone said no sd card, out of the blue, for no reason. Now it does not read it. Tried turning phone off and putting it back in, still didn't fix it. Reset my phone still didn't fix it. Sill a notification saying no sd card. I had alot of music and pictures that I do not want to lose. Is there any way to fix it?

Abe's question is key. If your computer can read it that means it's the phone having issues. And if your computer can't read it the SD card might be shot.

FYI, for the future, backup all the files to your comp every once in a while. Then if it is the SD card, you get a new one and move files over to it.

Sorry.

Is the SD card a legitimate one, or a cheap chinese knock-off from fee-bay?

Get the real thing; the cheap ones are generally factory rejects that someone got a hold of.

I have not tried to see if computer can read it yet.
The sd card is the one that came with the phone

Well try and see if computer can read it. Do you have a reader card to test it if it doesn't read through the phone?

Don't pay any attention to the negativity of one poster. Most, if not all Droid X's out of the box come with "the real deal" SD cards.
