Seidio 2600mAh extended battery

It may be the same battery but the temptation of more power was too much. I need all the power i can get!

LOL!.. your too funny!... maybe you can sell your old one to Matt if he wants it so he can fine tune "battery left".

You know, I might even donate the battery to help improve that app; battery left has so much potential and i don't see an official fix for the battery gauge anytime soon. (And I'm really irritated not knowing how much battery power I have left.) Where is Matt? Are you reading this?

Humm.. after the 2.1 update the system percentage seems much more accurate.... my phone hit 15% today and I ignored it because I knew I had tons of time left.... "I was wrong", my phone died a few hours later....... humm

This is a whole new twist.

Anyone else noticing any changes with the extended battery since the 2.1 update?

My system battery status is still always way off. The 2.1 update doesn't seem to have changed that for me. I have noticed however, that BatteryLeft has been a lot more accurate for me then it has in the past since the most recent update Matt put out.

Has anyone with the 2600 battery who has received the 2.1 update done a comparrison of their battery life comparing before to after?

My battery was still only a little over a week "old" when I did the update, so I don't really have a good basline for comparision...

I just got the 2.1 update yesterday so i can't really say although I don't think there's a noticeable difference in battery life.

I don't think there will be a diff in battery life, just wondering if the system percentage was any more accurate.... I thought maybe it was, but It takes several days to drain one of these batteries down... so it will take awhile before I know.

So I've had this battery for about two months now, and it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Here is my usage for the day...

Display - 18% (56 minutes)
Mediaserver - 17% (24 minutes)
Android System - 14% (22 minutes)
Phone Idle - 10% (11 hours)
Cell Standby - 8% (12 hours)
Touiteur - 5% (9 minutes)
Media - 4% (7 minutes)
Android Core Apps - 4% (6 minutes)
Beautiful Widgets - 4% (6 minutes)
LEDs Hack - 4% (5 minutes)
News and Weather - 2% (3 minutes)

This is probably less usage than I would have on a normal day, and I'm already under 3700mv (which on my battery means that I might have 1-2 hours left, tops). In actual usage, I've listened to DroidLive for about 2 hours, MixZing for about 30 minutes, and messed around with some apps for about 30 minutes total over the course of the day. A month ago, this would still give me PLENTY of time remaining on the phone...but now, I'm almost done. On a busy usage day over the weekend, which usually includes about an hour of GPS time (since we're looking for a new home), my battery will be drained in about 2-3 hours. I realize that an hour of display and GPS together will kill the battery, but it shouldn't be THAT quick.

I think I'm going to give the OEM battery a full charge overnight and use that tomorrow to see how it compares. I really wish that Motorola would make their own extended battery.

I'm at 59 hours and still at 3737mv
39% voice calls
20% cell standby
13% phone idle
10% wifi
4% bluetooth
3% android system
2% Android OS

I've had pretty light use this time... at this rate, I'll get over 70hrs I expect.

yeah, I'm thinking that it either has to be my battery, or my usage is such that I kill it. I am running BB 0.9 overclocked at 800mhz. I have Touiteur set to update every 15 minutes, and Facebook every hour. I also have the News and Weather Widget set to update every hour.

I know that's a lot of stuff to update, so it could possibly be because of me that it is draining so quickly. I have the OEM battery in today, so I am going to test it out.

If you have a chance, could you post the actual time usage for the top 3-4 battery usage items? Mainly Display and Voice Calls.

I'm now at 73.5 hours with a mv reading of 3591mv.

You'll have to show me where to see the actual hours used.. you must be using an app I don't have.

But I have nothing auto updating unless I open it, other than regular email etc.
I do have craiglist going all the time but have a taskmanager that kills everything I don't want when the screen is turned off.

The things excluded are:
GDE, Settings, Handcent SMS, Messaging, Alarm clock, Gmail, voice dialer, weather bug elite, mybackup pro, battery left, calendar and voice search.

On my auto kill list are:
Market, Corporate Calendar, Facebook, Finance, Mototorch LED, Photobucket, Shopsavvy, GDocs, Music, Calculator, Astro, You Tube, Email, Pro Zoom Camera 5X, My Verizon, Browser, G-tuner, Wifi Analyzer, MP3 Store, and zillow.

I don't routinely have gps on unless I need it for some reason and normally I"m not a heavy user other than phone calls and texting.

.

The easiest way is to click on Battery Left and click "usage". If you then click on the specific item (Display, etc.) it will list the CPU total.

Ah, ok, I didn't realize you have to open each one to see the time...

right now I"m at 3d, 2hr, 51min "75hrs, 13min" and at 3476mv.
voice calls 37% 2h 45min
cell standy 20% 6d 5h 44m, time without signal 50%
phone idle 13% 3d 0h 25min
wifi 10% 22h, 11m
display 10% 2h 27min
blutooth 4% 3d 2hr 53min
android system 3% 38min
android os 2% 23min

Well, I ordered the battery today. It'll be interesting, to say the least. I'm gonna have to re-read this thread to see how to properly charge it and such.
