Seidio Case

Little disapointed in one of my two Seidio Innocases.

So I ordered 2 cases from Seidio last week, one in Pink for my spouse and one in Burgundy for myself.

Received them both last Thursday, while the Pink case is really nice, raised lettering on the back instead of the text people have been saying comes off easily, the small pinhole in the back is well crafted and was obviously part of the cases design.

The Burgundy case has been dremeled to make the small pinhole in the back. Not very well dremeled either with some plastic kinda coming off of the hole.

Very Disapointed that they went so ghetto on my case.

Poked around the pictures on the seidio site and it looks like the Burgundy, Amethyst and Gold cases all have a small circular pinhole dremmeled into the back instead of a nice molded hole.

Just beware of those 3 colors.

Just wondering since I have the first version of the case (with the white lettering), what is the pinhole for?

As far as I know there is no reason for that hole. I don't think that any of the cases that Verizon sells have that hole. I know that my combo case/holster does not have that hole. It is beyond me why they would ruin a nice case by dremelling in an unnecessary hole. If someone can positively show a function for that hole, please tell me so that I might know what I am missing out on.

Verizon's cases suck, and weren't manufactured by Motorola, so I wouldn't use them as any type of indicator of a proper case.

In other words, you have no idea what that hole is for and are just stating something that is an unfounded assumption on your part. And as far as all Verzion cases sucking, just look at the problems that various people are having with your praised Seidio case. My Verizon case/holster combo has less problems than I am seeing in this thread. I always find it interesting that when someone buys the most expensive thing that they have to write off any problems as features that make it better.

As I have said before, the Seidio case looks very nice and I would consider one, but it has as many problems as the Verizon case/holster and at almost twice the price.

Also, the ambient noise microphone is located on the back near the top right in the center, just above the battery cover. Any case you have needs to not have that hole covered or else it makes it even worse.

I just tried an experiment. I talked to my wife with both the case on and off. I switched 5 times so that it was 3 times each way. The first comparison she couldn't tell the difference and the second 2 she thought that I sounded slightly clearer when the case was on. Your experience may vary, but I think the above quote is not accurate. Perhaps it depends on background noise, as we were both in quiet rooms.

My point is exactly what I said it was. I wouldn't use the Verizon case as an indicator of a proper case. You quoted it, so I assume you read it? The Verizon cases are big, bulky, don't fit well, and are a ***** to get off without damaging your phone. Obviously a rushed product.

I didn't say I'd use Seidio as an indicator either. But, they are at least creating a case an updating as needed when they find something was left off.

Motorola doesn't just put holes in their phones for no reason.
