[SELFKANG ICS AOSP ROM] CM9/ICS for Droid 3

Anyone know the proper way of flashing back to another rom? Using alpha 4 but not being able to send text messages is making me have to go back to my old rom. Every time I send a text through stock app or go sms pro I get a kick back saying it did not send.

I am guessing the way to go back is to factory reset full wipe and then flash my backup with safestrap? Thanks.

Thats the way I did it but make sure u disable safe mode or it will never load thats if you were on stock rom of course its not safe mode compatible I forgot to disable safe mode and had to do a battery pull go back to safestrap cwm and disable it then it loaded

Boot into safestrap.

Mounts menu>wipe /system wipe /data wipe /cache
Advanced menu> wipe Dalvik cache
Install from zip
Reboot
Enjoy

You don't need to disable safe mode.

Thanks! I was pretty sure that was the way to do it. Just wanted to make sure. Love this ics just can't deal without texting. Hash you are the man. When this is final or a stable beta I will go back to it and will buy ya a beer as well!

It was working fine for me in Alpha 3. When I went to Alpha 4 I was able to text intitially then all the sudden it stopped working. Have no idea why. No biggie, I will flash back to it once it is more a daily driver (I.E. codecs are worked out). I did notice quite a bit of differance going back to my previous rom Liberty 2.0, it is much snappier and smoother (responsiveness). I did not realize how laggy alpha 4 was in general, like just scrolling through root broswer going.

Yeah, I have two. A 1997 Cobra coupe built up pretty hot and a 1998 Cobra convertible for daily driver use.

Works for me. Hold Volume - and power, get the "click" and see the screenshot briefly.

I have an sdcard in my phone, don't know if you do or not and if that may be the issue...

Works fine for me. Did you wipe before flashing? And are you on alpha #4?

eh......just using the standard ICS snapshot like the GNexus. It snaps without pulling up the menu.....

20 bucks for someone to fix bluetooth codec to work with my jawbone era. Ics alpha #4 d3 still crappy. I messed up bluetooth settings pretty bad thank god for safe strap. Got next couple days off so maby ill find something out. But seriously hash 20 bucks to fix it,, thanks for all you do. It takes up so much time editing.. uhhh I cant sleep with this bluetooth file in my head..
