sending text messages?

I use the text message thing that came with the phone I was just wondering if you can disable sending texts by pressing the enter button on your keyboard. I just want it to send only when I press the send button on my screen. Not by sending it when I press enter because I sometimes press it accidently and the message gets sent;;

I believe you can do this with Handcent, but I don't think there's a way to with the stock messaging app.
