Do I have to be on LTE to get the update? I don't know if thats the case, since i'm always on 3G.

"To update you need a data connexion. Doesn't matter if it's WiFi, 3G, 2G, or the dimensional fold transport protocol. " (Gasai Yuno, answering the same question about the D2G update to GB, Oct 2011)
