i am a bit confused on how to install it then if it is not in the market..?

when you use astro it will ask you if you want to install click the button and then it will do it automatically for you

it took me about five minutes to figure it out but it is well worth it

I find Sherpa to be out of date. In my area, it has places that haven't existed for quite some time, and my favorite pizza place that has been there for at least 8 years that I know of isn't even listed.

I like Where and Aloqa better.

I just tried out Sherpa and Where for the first time tonight. And I prefer Sherpa for the well laid out GUI, speed, and accuracy.

'Where' was telling me I was in brooklyn, which is about 60 miles away from where I live. When I picked the gps option to find my location, it took like 3-5 minutes to finish, but at least found my location.

For me, sherpa just worked, and was fast.

I'm sure some locations will get better results than others. For this reason I would keep Sherpa, Where, and Aloqa all installed. What one doesn't find, the other will!

could at least give me credit for posting it.
I'm very new at this. So I get Astro file manager from the app market and download it. I also get sherpa.apk from the browser and download it. I then use the astro file manager to open sherpa, and I do all this on my Droid?
This raises another question: how do I connect/sync to my PC with my droid?
