Trust me, it won't get too hot...

Clock that sucker up to 1.1GHz.......you'll love it!

I have mine set with 1100/550 and it stays about the same as 1100/250 so don't worry about that......it also is about the same temperature as running 800 I swear, I wouldn't jerk you around

Do you have certain profiles set or just the auto detect set at 1.1?

I done it......step by step and it worked like a charm. Hbowever I chose the glass theme and don't like it. How can I get just the 2.1?? Do I have to redue the whole thing? Does the 2.1 have the press menu or is it a slide up?

First post here. Finally getting the up the balls to root after work (figured that it gives me the weekend to get the root and everything that goes with it to work right)

Still confused about the BB rom and the Sholes rom. Is there a thread out there that brings out the pros/cons of both? Going with the Sholes rom first.

I rooted and am running sholesmod 2.0.3. I'm overclocked to 800 and using home++.

Problem: my SD card won't mount.

It does charge when plugged in to a wall socket.

I thought maybe rooting it somehow made the PC not recognize the device. So, I downloaded the USB drivers from the Motorola site. Still no luck.

Any ideas?

What are you using to overclock? SetCPU only goes to 1000. I may like to try 1100.

Got to give credit to HACKU! Way to go with the install guide. His guide makes this install idiot proof. Seriously, if you have problems with this install then, i have no idea what you are smoking?

I seriously was freaking out before because people were having all these problems but i wanted to root so bad. the whole install took probably 40 minutes or so. I got all the 2.1 stuff and everything works great. No problem with Gmail sync, and my maps does seem to be slow finding my location but it was slow before i installed today, So it must just be the network or something. but everything went smooth. Couldn't of gone any smoother really.

my only gripe so far is that the screens are still kinda sluggish even with clocked at 800. I may have a setting wrong, idk, but i still got to play around with this, just got done 5 minutes ago.

If anyone is thinking of doing this install. DO IT, i had 0 experience with hacking and it went fine. I spent a Full week, hours a day, reading about rooting all for nothing. Now im more knowledgeable but really, all that reading was useless with this app.

i just downloaded this app today and after installing 2.1, everything seems slower, it rebooted probably 5 times in the first 30 minutes of messing with it, now my question is, is there a way to download the 2.0.2? when i open smupdater, it only has 2.0.1 or the 2.1 which doesnt seem to run that great

as far as i know, when you download the app from the market place you are getting 2.0.2.

did you download setCPU yet?

I just installed and ran the app from the market place. Only took maybe 15 minutes total for everything to be installed. Had a couple FC and one random reboot on the first startup but has fine and stable ever since. The market app installed the 2.0.3 rom. Grabbed SetCPU and am currently running at 800Mhz. By following the instructions on the first page of this thread, the whole process was a piece of cake.
